A therapist who is there for you, so that you can be there for them.
My Name is Angie Witt, and I bring over two decades of experience working alongside parents, educators, and students through life’s challenges - typically those who are struggling with regulating and processing emotions that impact the environment both at home and in school.
My Approach to therapy is non-pathologizing and strengths-based. We will work on staying in the present moment while working through an issue you may bring to therapy. Your thoughts, beliefs, inner strengths, and resources are all critical to your healing. Each person is unique. We will work together to understand how I can best help.
My hope is to provide a safe space where you will learn about yourself through connection, support, and knowledge fostering self-compassion and curiosity.

Caring for children is not for the faint of heart. The most vulnerable among us do not come with instruction manuals for how to care for them well. By doing the work within ourselves to stay present within our bodies and minds, we can fully embrace the children entrusted to us. They are learning FROM US how to navigate this world.

“Even After Years of Motherhood, I Still Learned So Much”
I really enjoyed attending group therapy sessions with Angie Witt. She is an incredible therapist who is calming and grounded, and really relates to the motherhood experience first hand. She created and maintained a group space that felt safe and comfortable for us to share. Even though I'm a mom of three and have been through the trenches with many years of motherhood under my belt, I left each session with additional knowledge and skills that I was able to pass on to my family members. I am so grateful for Angie!

“Hope Restored: A New Way to Show Up for My Children”
I recently completed a six-week session that truly changed the way I show up as a parent. The program gave me practical tools to stay calm and centered, even in stressful moments. I learned how to regulate my own emotions before responding to my kids, which has made such a difference in our home. More than anything, it gave me hope...hope that I can change the trajectory of how I parent and create a more peaceful, connected relationship with my children. I’m so grateful for this experience and highly recommend it to any parent who wants to grow with grace and intention.

“This Course Completely Transformed Our Family Dynamic”
I was hesitant to join, because I worried I would be "complaining" about my kids that I love so much. However, this is not a "complaint" course. It is a course that you're able to discuss what's not working for you and your child's relationship. Then learning various tools Angie has us complete, you get a better understanding of the brain of a child. It made me more mindful of my kids as people, and how my reaction to them, affects my relationship with them. I was searching for a way to learn to "pause" before I react to the chaos. Within the first 2-3 weeks of the session, I was consciously responding different to them. It changed the dynamic of my household from high level intense at times, to calmer and more accepting. Those intense moments still happen, but they are far less frequent, because I now know how easy it is to "maintain the calm".
I have a 7th grade daughter, and she is changing from adolescent to teen. I was using authoritarian parenting to try to control the new situations that come with raising a teen. It wasn't working. I learned tools and techniques from Angie to help guide me through this phase. I would bring in examples of what didn't work that previous week in my parenting techniques, and Angie gave some possible suggestions to try next time instead. WOW. Has that changed my relationship with my daughter! Just having me react different than she expects, has changed our dynamic in just these 6 weeks.
And then there's the blessing of Angie. She provides flexible structure to the course. She comes prepared with a tool to teach each week, but allows the conversations to happen and then the lesson is naturally taught within the context of what's happening in our lives. She is calm, and not judgemental, and celebrates our wins! We'd start each class with a guided meditation, which just brought calm and peace to each of us with her gentle words and voice. The lessons and group work is invaluable. Parenting is hard. We've never done it before. Give yourself grace, and try this group. You and your family, will benefit!
